I have caught fish using bream. I especially like to use a head piece for cut bait. To me, it is a big fish bait. I like using live bream too. They are much heartier than shad and will live a long time on the hook...

If you're on fish, they'll eat it.

Outstanding bait. Channel Cats love them! Side Note: Even though I have caught both Blue and Yellow Cats off of cut Bluegill, seems both the Blue Cats and Yellow Cats love live Bluegill so much better! Just my two cents.

I love cut bluegill. I have fished it next to shad and had it out produce the shad. Stays on the hook well. Easy to get from local ponds. Its a winner IMO. Now... its no Jello chicken, but its a good one.

Anyone have luck with cut bluegill? I’ve tried it several time and have had zero luck. There have been times it's outfished shad for me, both cut and live.
