Hey everyone I recently moved to Houston from the DFW area and am planning on taking my boat out this weekend on Livingston. Can anyone give some pointers on how people are catching white bass or hybrids? I was planning on hitting the ledges and humps first. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can give you one pointer, that is a stump filled S.O.B.

Study all maps available before you go and be careful.

Whitebass around Points and humps on the south end or around Pine Island drops . Midlake around the old 190 road bed . Most people are using Slabs and teasers . Beacon Bay Marina should be stocked up on Ducktracker Slabs and Texan Teasers. The Southeast isn’t too stumpy coming out of Beacon Bay west to Pine Island is clear . Should be a boat parade on the west end of the Island with trollers.
Several guides launch out of Beacon bay also and would be a good investment to learn the lake of coarse they are booked up now I am sure.
Midlake can get Stumpy for first timers .

How is water clarity this year in the old 190 roadbed area? Also, what size are the sandies running this year?

Water clarity is getting better every day but its not clear by far. Lot of trash and wood floating in the lake in the areas of the river channel. White bass are as hungry as ever. Put 100 in the boat in about an hour yesterday. Ran to first spot found them and never moved. People were with me loved it.

Don't want you to give your spot away, but which part of the lake were you fishing - the south end, mid-lake, or north of 190 bridge?

I ended up fishing the middle of the lake Friday evening and Saturday morning. Water temp was 82-86 degrees. The water was definitely stained, but fishable. Caught 35 Friday and 60 Saturday. I only fished a couple hours each day. Fish were in 15-20' Friday and 10-15' Saturday morning. The best bite was on a gold Mepps, or a gold spoon. I found some schooling action early in the morning but the bigger sandies were deeper.
