I noticed after probably 20 years out of the bait business, they are back. Anyone know if someone bought the company or if its still a family operation?

Thats what I was wondering. After doing some research it looks like it is still the same people. Sounds like Bruce (the original owner) was in the process of relaunching the brand late last year and then had a stroke. Sounds like his son is helping with the relaunch now. Cant find a website for them but did find that info on Facebook. Hopefully someone else with some first hand info can confirm it.

It is still family owned. And yes it is in the stages of coming back. I’m good friends with Colt, Bruces son, who is re-launching the bait line. I am fortunate enough to be working with him as well as other people on here and throughout. He has a great guy running on tour, Kyle Cortiana. You can look him up and see the logo. I am also fortunate enough to have some the new stuff he has designed and stuff he is bringing back and the tweaks he has made to make them better! It’s all coming soon enough!!!

I was in Terrell at a red light coming home from skeeter owners tournament when a truck pulls up beside me. They wave at me to roll down my window and the lady hands me a package of jawtec craws. I haven't got a chance to use them yet but they look good. Seemed like good people.

Some of the best people around. They are based out of Forney so you could see a lot of them

I traveled all over the SE USA as the Jawtec Rep for five years. Good folks. Bruce was one of the most talented anglers I have ever met. He taught me how to flip deep hydrilla at Fork many years ago. Looking forward to their return.

I've only seen their FB which has little product pictures or talking about their baits...they'll pick it up soon. Social media and web presence is an absolute must.
