I have a friend up from Killeen, who would like to catch some STRIPER. Can any one point me in the right direction and bait. Thanks for the help.

Guides been catching hypers on baits near deep treed perimeters. They are easy to spot. I only use lures and been catching all the sandies you want, in this hot weather, shallower. Did caught some good hypers on lures when the weather was cooler.

I normally launch at 2 mile but looking at Duck Cove ramp. I don't remember which bridge but one looks awfully low. Can you get CC under the bridge at Duck Cove.

A center console cannot get under the bridge at the public boat ramp on duck cove. You can go up the road half a mile and launch at the ramp across from sunset resort.

Thanks, that is what I thought. I heard that guides launch there but they are actually using the ramp to the north.

My last 3 recent trips, good sandies were caught at Finger, anchor, GPS (greenville pump), Cloud, sun, wolf... The community holes smile

Tawakoni is loaded with bait. I threw a net and had at least 200 in it. Glad I had the big bucket on board. Lots of fish at Finger but we hung around on the south side too long. Plan was to stop at Finger early but there were some good rollers with the SE wind.

Fishboy Frank, Fastguy George and I hammered the BIG FISH Friday Morning on sassy shad and slabs. Found em schooling. We landed over 20 big fish and had 6 or 7 come off at the boat. These were bruisers. Cleaned 15 to eat. Thye are not by the trees anymore but up on the shallow slopes of the humps.

Thanks for the report. Good to know it is possible to catch that many big fish on one Tewak trip. That gives the rest of us hope!!!

Guides were for the most part in the trees today. One was pulling up on Finger Point as we left. There was one other off the point south of Finger. Early on a guide circled around east and south side of Holiday hump and left. Fished with guides in timber and only saw a few sandies caught.

That's an awesome day, Keith! thumb
I usually fish later in the day and been graphing insane amount of sandies. This was last Thursday.

We caught 143 today at Finger and the hump south of finger. 2/3 of them big magnums. All on Mepp's # 4 and my Clone # 4.
