I will be taking it pretty easy the first pass, checking it out with the electronics. But Thanks for the input. Definitely gives me a starting point.

From the golf course point:

Run between the concrete block and the skinny stickup then 45 towards the bank, run 5 feet or so off the bank until you get to the next point just past the golf green. Now run out 50-75 yards off the bank and you'll have to make a slight turn to your port when you come to the split in the trees, not the south split that's the "false split", the north one. It used to be marked with a solar yard lamp on the south tree and a an orange marker on the north tree. Now just run towards the powerlines, kind of in a straight line. When you get about 150 yards from the powerlines you want to make a 35-45 degree angle towards the skinny kind of bent tree on your left and go aprrx 25 feet to north of it. Now make a "semi circle" or "crescent moon" route towards the mouth. Be sure you come in on the west side of the small forked tree (east side will run of water and a few honkers there) that will put you in the old river channel.

Good Luck!

We ran it wot all the way into the mouth. We didnt know what we were doing, seemed ok.

One of the ones, that if you hit it your boat will have a huge hole in it.

I did hit one about 5 years ago that stopped me dead in my track. Didn't know that one was there.
I was a few inches off track.

This is my favorite and notice all the stumps at the power lines. They are literally 1 foot or less under the surface at full pool. For all those people that used to say those that knew the north end well were "trying to scare" others from venturing up there, the proof is in the pudding. We are just trying to say, yes it is a place you need to know where you are going...

Here is the gap you have between where the old powerline stood and the standing tree on your right in the pic. Not a ot of room to "mess up". I got a ton of pics from up there when it was dry, These are from 2011

Be careful! Lt. Dan has some mean relatives up there that guard the river and its treasures.

I found the route to the power lines a few months ago. After the last two weekends (I was working on the route to the river) this finally makes sense! Unfortunately the fishing wasn't all that great.
