I just moved here from louisiana and would frequently fish or host open tournies. They called them fruit jars. I would just post online with the price and hours and brinf my scales to the launch and host the little $30-$40 tourny. There was nothing wrong with it there with many times the sheriff or game warden swinging by at weigh in to see what won it. I am considering doing the same thing here. Is this legal here? I know Medina lake used to have something like this and thought about starting it up myself. How many would fish?

Go for it capitalism is great in this country so far. The lake you choose may depend on how successful you are.lots of guys hete in texas luv to fish some can't on weekends so mixing it up during weeknights/weekends could work.3 fish limits work well. just seen results from a caney lake weeknight tourny in jonesboros, La took almost 26.50 lbs to win.
Good luck!

I would check around first, there are tons of little week night or weekend deals like that already out there. You may be able to find one on the lake you want to fish

I have found one on canyon lake but I can’t make it one a work night so I was just trying to throw out a few opens even if we don’t get but 8-10 boats and doing 100% payback not looking to make money just have affordable fun.
