I miss mine everyday. He died in 2002, and was a super dad all my life, always supporting me and my brother in all our endeavors. He was also a great role model for me in how to treat your wife with love and respect, and died just four days short of their 59th wedding anniversary. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942 and was a staff sgt. in the MPs.
Family is everything! Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

My father was an epileptic, which embarrassed me to be with him out in public. But he encouraged me to join the Boy Scouts and was so proud when I made Eagle. I was drafted in 1966 and he worried to no end. Not having anything better to do with my life, I remained for 28 years and no matter where I was stationed, (except Vietnam, Thailand, and Korea) he and my mother came to visit me and my family. I feel so guilty at times by the way I treated him. But I was truly blessed to have the Red Cross bring me home from England, to spend a couple of weeks with him, right before he passed. Sorry for the rant, but Fathers Day is really emotional for me.
