Well, my first trip wasn't too good. Caught a 1.5 lb smallmouth pretty quick on a topwater, then it was a pretty long drought after that. Lots of small stripers schooling everywhere we went. Also there were probably 3,000 boats striper fishing. Groups of 20+ were stacked up everywhere. That really wasn't a factor but I was surprised to see that many.

Oldest son and I finally got out yesterday since whenever we could go it was storming or wind was 30 mph or just couldn't go. He caught a dink and I had a few bites. They were feeding close to the bank a couple of places midday.

Hmmmm. 1.2 high.

Conservation pool was changed from 617ft to 619ft.

I am no expert on all water levels, just conveying what is reported. According to Water Data for Texas, Texoma is +2.99 with a 619.99 water level.

It’s okay to not be an expert. But I’d look towards the expert for information. Army corps of engineers manages Texoma. If you look at the link that guy posted you’ll see that it takes you to us corps of engineers website. (Not water data for Texans which isn’t experts.)

When you follow the link (to the experts) you’ll see this (currently) then you’ll see it’s not 2.99. Then you can say to the helpful fella thanks for the 411.

If y'all don't know Texoma has a fluctuating pool level unlike most lakes. 617 was normal back before they changed it in the 90's. Now in the summer it goes up to 619 and in late winter it drops to 615.
