The wife and I are headed back to CC this weekend. We are wanting to target hybrids with live bait. Can y’all tell me if shad is widely catchable on CC? If so I assume back of creeks etc like most lakes? I’m not looking for anyone to give up a honey hole, just some knowledge to know if shad is to be found if I look in the normal spots. Some lakes like Whitney, shad is very difficult to catch. If that is the case at CC I won’t waste my time looking for it and will go catch white bass like we did last weekend.

As a general rule. The farther north you go on Cedar Creek the easier it is to catch gizzard shad. Silted wind blown coves are key on any lake including Whitney wink
