Lewisville has sucked this year but we decided to try it again Monday. Fished 3.5 hours and caught one 14" crappie plus 4 dinks. Also caught 6 little sand bass. It got extremely hot by 10 AM so we quit.

Going to Texoma tomorrow, Here's hoping.

Monday was good for me on Lewisville; cleaned 6 nice crappie. Biggest one was 14.5", two 14", one 13" and 2 12". Caught a lot of dinks. Fished 3 hrs, and yes it was hot!

Also went today and only caught three keepers, largest one was 14. They just didn't want to bite!

Maybe it will be cooler up north! laugh

Wife and I fished yesterday and kept 22 crappie, they were 11”s and larger.

Made it to 11:00 but the calm wind made it tough, water temp was 89 degrees (unbelievable).

For some reason the crappie were either 8’ or 9’ deep regardless of water depth, firehouse shad slab bandit.

Won’t be going back for awhile………….lol.

Thanks for the report Ernest. I like trying new places from my normal go to spots, was wanting try Lewisville, glad I have not messed with it. I did try Texoma last Saturday, really trying to avoid the storms, I wanted to fish Fork. But I fished the dam, all down it, and the north end. I found some good crappie structure, even a brush pile on the dam, but no crappie. Did catcha few small stripers on my crappie jigs. I'm not giving up on Texoma tho, I got some other areas I want to try.

Fished it a couple times the last couple weeks and done ok each time. Nothing crazy but not bad from the yak. Lewisville for me has not fished as easy as it has 8 or so years ago. Minnows help this time of year I have found.

Just got back from Lewisville. Caught a ton of 9" crappie and only 7 keepers. Almost all black crappie too. At least the keepers were big.

They are releasing a lot of water on Lewisville, that does not help.

Caught a few on brush piles that would normally be in 21 fow now it’s in 23’ on Texoma but it was hit or miss and mostly miss. The brush piles I am referring to are in the Big Mineral arm so you probably already know which ones I’m talking about.
