It’s a pain but if you brown it, tends to have more flavor.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

I do like Hop said and add a little AuJus gravy mix (McCormick) to the drippings toward the end- maybe half a package.

Here's a crockpot recipe I learned from a neighbor...her version of carnitas.

Pork tenderloin (1 twin pack)
1 20oz bottle of Dr. Pepper
1/4 cup or orange juice
1 whole med white onion sliced
4 sliced jalapenos
Salt / Pepper
1 Tbspn of minced garlic or 2-3 cloves chopped

Salt / Pepper all side of tenderloin
Mix all liquids and garlic in crockpot
Add tenderloin
Add vegetables

Cook on low for 8 hours
Remove meat and veggies and let sit to "dry"
Heat up (Med/High) frying pan w/ little oil to coat or non-stick
Brown up meat and veggies

Enjoy!!!

Dust roast with flour, salt and pepper and brown in skillet on all sides.
Add roast, one large cut up onion, a cut up carrot, a cut up potato and a can of Golden Mushroom soup to crock pot. Cook about 6 hours and then add more carrots, potatoes and some sliced mushrooms. Cook another 2.5 hours and then enjoy..

The Mississippi pot roast recipe that Tin Boat posted is also a good change of pace.
