Can anyone recommend a catfish guide for Eagle Mountain lake? I am trying to find someone to help me shorten the learning curve.

Chad, definitely. I'm gonna book a winter trip with him, just so I can fish out of that killer new Sea Ark Pro Guide he just got. If you book a summer trip, he can definitely put you on a ton of channels.I believe his guide service is North Texas Catfish Guide service. You can see him on You Tube at Catfish Edge.

Booking in advance always works best, especially specifically for my boat. Never have any grass growing under my feet.

There you have it, straight from the horses mouth... Learned a lot watching you and reading your books Chad, thanks for the knowledge...

I have been reaching out since last July trying to book a trip asking for any available weekday or weekend dates (mornings or afternoons). I am not sure what else I could have done. No worries though…glad you are staying busy,

When is your next open day might have been the right question to ask. The guy seems to keep a full plate. My uncle Kevin and my cousins had the same issue last year. He really wanted to fish with Chad specifically and he had to book months in advance. It was June so by then they were Channel cat fishing. All I can say is my uncle and cousins all have a new found respect for when they come on my boat.

That was my question in every email. I wasn’t trying to start a thing here or offend anyone…it is all good. For whatever reason we couldn’t connect. I just posted to see if anyone had a recommendation before just doing a google search.

Unfortunately with the almost daily rain we’ve had this year for over a month it’s caused a lot of shuffling of schedules to accommodate people for rain cancellations. Sorry it didn’t work out!

Moving up where? Into their nest holes for the next Month? Big Blues moved up in February amigo.. Very difficult to catch one while they are on their nests right now unless your a noodler. Ive caught a few over the years but I can count em on 1 hand. If you get lucky and catch one then be prepared for the stinkiest nastiest smelling catfish you’ve ever seen. You do not want that crotch smelly fish that’s been layed up in an egg hole in your boat I can promise you that. Smells like Boys Town Nuevo Laredo in the mid 90s.

Terry Terry. BrotherTerry on here. Idk if he gets on here much anymore. EM isn't a super tough lake, most of the time. If you have a basic understanding of Blue Cats and their patterns, you'll figure 'em out if you fish it enough.
