I have close to 30 Lew's Custom Speed Stick Lites and Custom Speed Sticks that I purchased 4 years ago. The handle on one of my Custom Speed Stick Lites broke over the weekend. When I purchased the rods, they were shown to have a limited lifetime warranty. I looked at all of the major retail businesses and they still show limited lifetime warranty. I reached out to Lew's, and they told me that their warranties have changed and that the rod now only has a 2 year warranty. Lew's website does not explicitly say what warranty duration comes with their rods now.
Typically Lew's has been great to deal with, but this situation is a little disappointing.

Yea, you for sure dont gotta drop G Loomis money to get a good warranty and customer service. Lews got bought out....i know its basically every tackle company now, but if I can help it I avoid the brands that are consolidated under 1 umbrella. its the reason Im so big on Daiwa now...and you do see it in product quality from my experience.
Cashion and Phenix are both great rods...with phenix being the best bang for your buck bottom contact rods out there imo (Cashion is a USA company whos Icon rods are all US made, even the blank 🤷♂️).....both companies have great customer service, and a warranty program that gives you big peace of mind...imo.
Im not a single brand guy....but cashion, and more specifically Phenix have been my only rod purchases the last year or 2. Same with Daiwa....planning to buy a BB1 soon, but aside from that all my money has been going to tatulas.
