Does anyone have any suggestions on who you would recommend for electrical issues in DFW area? I have a friend that continues to have battery issues even after changing out the batteries. He believes it may be related to the additional electronics added. After a few hours he has to jump it off.

There is only two issues to take care of: - Put in the best cranking battery with the 1000 cranking amps. - Put in a Perko switch to kill all power while charging to that battery. You may want to put another killer on the trolling motor batteries if the TM is hard wired.

Call Voskem at All Star Marine, the Garland location not Dallas. He did a full rewire on my boat adding the Perko and TM on/off like Mr. Harper said. I would trust him with any electrical eval and issue.

Curious. How much did he charge for total rewire?

It was on a 2003 Triton TR186. Total rewire plus power wire for Livescope up front in the future, perko, TM onoff and extra series 24 Interstate Cranker battery. 1400.00. Had to rewire for the Ultrex upfront. 17 year old wiring was dust.

first thing is check all grounds and especially on batteries, if he is using the wingnuts he needs to crank them down with pliers.
next he can go buy a load tester for less than 40.00 at wally world or any auto parts store, best way to check batteries, just read the directions first. super easy and good to have for future issues.
next check charger, go run the boat for a while, plug in charger and use a voltmeter (again super easy) to check charge voltage, it should be 13.5 to 14.5v when charging. less and he has a bad charger and batteries may show full charge but not have the stamina (reason for load tester).
he can buy a voltmeter and load tester for less than 65.00 and probably save a ton of cash over a shop doing the same things. if none of the above indicate the problem then it is shop time.
