Got on the water at 6am Saturday as well. Storm rolled in and we made a mad run for the ramp to wait it out. Were back on the lake at 9am. I am not lying when I say we caught fish every cast for about 7 hours straight. Not sure if you noticed but there was a nasty current in the lake. All our fish were caught fishing areas where the fish were seeking shelter from the current. Honestly I bet we caught 300+ Sandies. I have been fishing Ray Hubbard my whole life and never caught as many as we did Saturday.

I was out there around 630am. I rushed to the spot I wanted to fish then I prepared the get hammered by the storm. I was able to get to an area that was protected and waited it out through everything . I think I started fishing around 830. I was actually fishing for largemouth, and I was coming around the corner and saw sandies busting shad on top. So I did a little switcheroo and started catching those lol. I stayed on them in the area for around 3 hours. They stayed on top for about 30min and then I used my livescope to follow the school. It was pretty great day. I was off by noon.
