I've always been pretty good at catching them, but since moving to Ballinger I fish a couple spots on the Colorado river and catch bass, crappie, drum and a couple gar but no sunnies. I thought they lived everywhere. Wonder what gives?

Try to fish areas where there are overhanging tree limbs, stick ups, stumps, and grass beds. Also docks in 10 to 15 feet of water should be holding some sunfish. thumb

I second the overhanging tree limbs suggestion. I float down the river casting under trees and other shady spots along the bank. Only getting bites in shade when it's really sunny out like it has been.

+3 fish are concentrated under tree limbs and anywhere there is shade.
