I went to the expo on Friday. There was a lady in a yellow ‘Event’ jacket at the bottom of the stairs clicking a counter as people passed her.

Fiancée and I drove over Saturday to do the expo and weigh-in. Decided we would first eat lunch at Joe T Garcia’s. After a few top shelf margaritas and checking into the hotel we passed out and missed both events. We made the expo Sunday morning.

Considering there was very little local media coverage for the event< I think they had a pretty good turn out.

How do they get this number? Since they drove past the racetrack on the way to the fake weigh in they considered that to be partnering with them and counted all the people watching the races is what I heard at the gas station.

Who cares where they got the numbers!? With that kind of attendance hopefully they’ll bring the Classic back to Texas again in the near future. That would be great for everyone in the state that likes to fish. There’s plenty of other lakes that could host it! I attended the expo and “weigh in” on Saturday, we’re there things that could have been better? SURE! But after the last year of lock down and everything else that has gone on, I was very pleased with how it all went down!

Here is a picture from yesterday at the Expo. I have to say, I’m glad I didn’t go up there, way too big of a crowd for me. Definitely more people went than I was expecting, probably more than anyone was expecting.

2nd in attendance to the tournament before COVID hit!
As to attendance estimates:
They take into account all events around the Classic, from Take-Off to Weigh-In, and finally to the Expo. They use sampling techniques and counting estimates from various locations throughout the show to sort the numbers.

Can you imagine the event on GV, expo and tournament.
TPW should start stocking 10 fold and the city needs to start saving money for a few years. TPW could double up on small mouth too.
