Have a buddy thst works at the L.A. Fire department . He just sold his house and bought a very nice home in Nashville on some land . The price was insane to me. He told me with him selling his house in CA , he bought his house cash in TN. He flies to work and back home after and " still saves $30k a year"

In 2013, the Texas Tribune and UT Austin conducted a poll surveying the political orientation of California expats. The California arrivals were 57 percent conservative compared to 27 percent liberal.

For the life of me, I just can't fathom someone leaving a state with chit policies and high taxes just to vote for more of the same. I think it's a myth. Urban legend?

no it's not...……

obviously if your from the Left Coast your not playing with a full deck...…..

Bull chit on that statement....

I have a house in build on 2.5 acres here in Washington....the home is 5100sf the detached weight room is 1000sf...1.2m
They are coming from California
They told me today the water is a joke there and will be a nightmare shortly for the lakes. I feel they are bringing a red punch here.

water has been a problem for a long time . In the area where I have my house in Cali , 20 years ago I could put my boat on 6 lakes within an hour ----today only one is left open year round , 3 are totally off limits ( no real reasons given that make sense ) , one has very limited access and the best one will be shut down for the next 8-10 years for rebuilding the dam .
The dumbest part , is most of them are drawn down to protect salmon runs --- most of the streams coming out of these lakes are so small --- the salmon runs are less than a few hundred at best and in some years less than 50 . Conservatives are leaving Cali in droves because they are tired of the politicians that are running in into the ground ---- and none of them care to fix it .
Just a reference to home pricing , my dad bought a house in San Jose ( 4 miles from Apple's HQ ) in 1960 for $19K( 1100Sq feet ) today it would sell in one day for approx $2.3M

There is a about a 1.5 or 2 acre wooded lot across the road from us, Californians bought it for $94,000
No utilities, water well or anything, just woods.

They have the funds to pay someone to do it for them. I'm hoping in a few months I'm set and ready to start buying land here and using my resources to develop it to ready to build site and capitalize on the money because not many know how and who to do this.

Years ago, I bought an acre of woods in Arkansas for $1. Think I got ripped off.

Try Nollensville, TN. We have a development there and several others are around it. Tennessee is great I hope CA idiots don’t ruin it.

I bet 93% of people don’t believe that poll for a second.

My sister just moved from Los Angeles to TN. They got a house and some land. Its not in a "Town" she said, but its close to Bristol and she said the closest "Big Place" is an hour away in Johnson City. She said its great but she having trouble finding a church that "Really teaches the bible"... if anyone in that area knows of one let me know lol.

My sister has 11 kids, all with the same guy, does not have TV in the home, goes to church 3x a week, is 100% sure the election was stolen (she knows that bcs of facebook). She is 50 times more conservative than any of yall...

This stuff about everyone from Cali is super liberal is a croc. Urban Myth stuff. Trump got 6.1 million votes in Cali and 5.8 million in Texas. Of course that is not apples to apples as the states do not have the same population... but to say everyone from Cali is liberal is objectively false.
