Has wokeism destroyed comedy? We see it here on these pages. We used to be able to laugh at each other. We laughed at stereotypes because they are funny. How do we fix this?

Nah man, there are several comedians doing funny routines around race. Chris Rock, Chappelle, bill barr, and Jim Breuer come to mind. We just hear about the butthurt whining too much

I went through four stand up specials last night on Prime before I found one that was actually funny.

We have gone through a lot over the past two years. A contested election, a national, world wide lock down, a deep freeze, not to mention the violence that the news media keeps showing across it's networks. Tempers have short fuses but in the end we seem to get over it. It's always a good thing to let out the steam and good comedy plays a part in that. Go to Celebrity's Roast. You Tube Channel when jokes were just jokes and everyone laughed and race did not play any part. Times have changed and for the most part not for the best. As for me, I will keep being myself and will always for the most part stay in a positive mood. It sure beats being negative. I also have my FAITH in the Lord Jesus Christ and without him, I am nothing. Just a sinner saved by grace.

It sure does! I went to a bar the other night... first time in a long time. Its late, line taking a while to get in... I'm finally next, showing my drivers license and getting ready to pay. Lady says the guy in front of me paid for me. It's a younger guy, maybe half my age. he is also a black guy. What a gesture! Bought him and his buddy the first round. There's hope in the world.

I remember seeing a Jerry Seinfeld interview several years ago, talking about why he quit doing the college circuit.

He said young people are so programmed to be offended that you can't do comedy anymore.

1. I didn't need JS to teach me this.

2. JS isn't really funny to me.

3. Is comedy dead? I'd say it's dead to leftist and liberals, but not to conservatives and people with common sense!

It certainly seems like it is at times. I'm a smarta** by nature and can always find something to make a joke out of....but nowadays you better keep your mouth shut because you will no doubt offend somebody. And DO NOT make any jokes about religion here in Oklahoma.....you will be smited for sure...:)

Lot of dark humor to be found on Instagram and I'm sure (TikTok, but I don't have an account). The guys and gals that post stuff on Instagram are very funny, but I will probably go to hell for laughing at some of it.

This. Watch the last Chapelle special if you think they can’t get offensive anymore. He basically makes fun of everyone which is why he is so great.

It's mostly dead to the extreme left and extreme right.
