So you are ok with the feds taking resources from the middle class or less, but not the wealthy. That is one of the reasons we have for a disproportionate number of very wealthy controlling such a large percentage of the wealth in this country. I would suggest that is not a healthy situation long term.

Typical Dem, socialism is the end game! This seems to be a very popular opinion but I will always ask....What about the people accepting this money? Are they only typical Dems and socialist? Seems we have more than our share of people willing to take advantage of our Gov. and this money give away started before the Dems were in office.

I agree, it is a totally bad idea. Cutting the taxes of the very wealthy makes so much more sense. Why should the wealthy pay to support for other peoples children? In other words, don't have babies you can't afford.

And why should those with jobs, children to support and just making a living pay for the highways, airports, water, drainage, military support of those who are not paying any federal income taxes but are increasing their wealth by billions every year. I do not hate the very wealthy, but I would like them to be taxed appropriately. Bezos, Gates, Buffet and Musk along with a few others are paying little if any federal income tax but have accumulated a large percentage of the wealth. I am not suggesting that they are doing anything illegal, just that they are not paying their fair share. I believe it was the middle class, small businesses that made this country and they have been decimated.

I wouldn't want to be harsh and I do understand some people can come upon hard times but dang, it seems way too many people find ways to live far beyond their means and depend on Government hand outs.

We have an income tax, not an asset tax. Rich people who offset their "income" with deductible expenses allowed under current income tax laws can and do pay minimal taxes. Most "rich" people are "asset" rich.
If we start having an "asset" tax would we want everyone paying an annual 25% tax on cars, trucks and houses? what I posted above was to show that 3 of the wealthiest people in the world pay no or a very minimal tax, they have to have income or they would starve to death so they are skipping out on what the rest have to pay. they are also all 3 liberal/socialists of the first order, bezos is the owner of the washington post which is a very socialist anti right rag. we need to go to a flat tax, no deducts and if you make less than say 50k a yr. then you maybe pay 5%. jmo But that would still be an income tax. 99% of mega rich wealth is in appreciating assets that only become income if they sell them. While we buy big trucks and bass boats they get stocks and stock options.

I do not understand why someone should get paid extra from the govt for their kids. Kids are something you have because you want to, not as a cash source.
I fear that America is doomed because once these payments begin they will never cease. Any politician that tries to will end up being crucified. I also don't think this is Constitutional under the equal treatment under the law clause. It clearly discriminates against those that do not have kids and those who have already raised their kids. But I don't have faith in the SC to address it.
