Why fish in Allen? Better to go to a local lake like Texoma, Fork or even Lavon. However, if you truly want to fish in Allen the best bet is Rowlett Creek.

This beautiful waterfall is just downstream from where West Rowlett creek crosses Mcderrmont. Waterfall is created by an old low water bridge

The day I was down there local kids were swimming. I've seen sewer breaks at Mcdermont above this and would not swim in this water or eat the fish.

The water in Rowlett creek is very clear and pretty due to the limestone creekbed. Some nice bass in places.

Some nice fish in this creek. Be careful of snakes. Also, they pulled a gator out of Rowlett creek where it crosses 75 a few years ago.

Man, that looks like a great swimming hole. Thanks for the warning about the sewage though.
