This outing will take place this weekend. Instead of doing it on Saturday, it will now be on Sunday. For details, see the link I have provided: http://www.texaskayakfisherman.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=253206

Come on Christian... lets get a kingfish. Anyone else want to make the trip and bust through surf and paddle out, maybe have a yard sale on the water? roflmao

I don't even know what to take... haven't been offshore since around 2005.

Work is killing me too!... that's why I wanted to get out of town. Spent the last two nights figuring out which rods and reels I wanted to risk dunking in salt water, making sure the drags were still working. Haven't used my 4500 Shimano Baitrunner in 15 years. It was my pier rod but used if offshore for kingfish. It doesn't like salt water or sand. Now my Kaskazi kayak loves the deep water... or so they say. Realized today Bob Hall Pier is in Corpus... I thought it was Galveston. bang Instead of quick 3.5 hour drive, its 400 miles and probably over 7 hours the way I drive. bang Oh well, I'm loaded up and ready to hit the road.. I think. May back out when I wake up in the morning. roflmao

Another time... Yakety Yak... too far without more time off from work. I wouldn't be worth a [censored] next week. Glad you posted up all the info you do as it did get me excited for a while. Tried getting a Holiday Inn Express last night, for the weekend, nearest one to Bob Hall Pier with vacancy was 228 miles away. I'm too old to camp. roflmao Back to Palestine this morning.. only a 30 minute drive. cheers
