A buddy and myself are heading up there next week, gonna fish Monday -Thursday. Any tips would be appreciated, we’ve never been there.

Buddy of mine took his son their for graduation couple years ago.
Said you would not believe the number of crawfish in that lake.
Craw colored crankbaits were the ticket for them on rock humps and points.
Said they wore them out for days and had to go to a local store and buy more crankbaits.

I went a couple years ago we hired a guide for 2 days , watch the wind it gets big, and make sure you take a couple jackets the mornings can be cool.

What a great lake!!!!! We smashed on them for 2 days, first day the wind was blowing a bit and we caught them using shallow crankbaits, on day two the wind died down a lot, so we changed it up to dropshotting. We probably caught around 20-30 per day. The smallmouth on that lake are big and healthy, we didn’t catch a single one smaller than 2lbs. The biggest ones we caught went just over 4lbs. On days 3-4 the wind was blowing way to much to even get in that lake so we hit up a different lake where we wore out the largemouth.

Not crowded at all really We fished it on a Monday and Tuesday We knew Wednesday and Thursday would be too windy to attempt it, so we went to Clearwater lake about an hour south
