I own that gloomis rod and it is a great rod and very versatile. I just ordered a St Croix Victory rod,take a look at the specs on that rod too.

St. Croix is the easy choice between the two. The Gloomis E6X is too heavy for the price and not as sensitive

St. Croix is the easy choice between the two. The Gloomis E6X is too heavy for the price and not as sensitive The E6X line aren’t heavy but their 7’5” rods don’t balance well

E6X is not very sensitive. I had one for a week and sold it.
