And the beat goes on. Slabs, Slabs, and more Slabs! Good job guys. Side Note Great seeing a Rio on the highlight reel. Also glad you made it back to the ramp in good shape!

Those are some big ones. Good job guys. Side Note: The wind can be your friend. Try telling this to a kayaker.

Chuck/Leo....Those were the 1st 2 Rios of the year & we were actually targeting them. They always seem to be in the exact same spot year after year. Curtis...This may be the only time I would be happy about a strong wind & understand the kayaker perspective for sure. Senko...Thanks for the reply & yes they did. I was sure I had a good size bass on the big one until we saw it.

Yes Sir Vogey. Glad that you guys were able to make it back to the ramp. I have been in your situation before on the Guadalupe. Me and my friends had to use a trolling motor for about a mile to get back to the ramp. It was also getting close to dark time. Oh yea we ran out of gas.

Steve: I have not caught many Rios yet this year. The places where they were before the big freeze they are gone. The good news is I have seen plenty further southwest on places I fish. They were all guarding nest and had no intentions on eating a nice night crawler. Hopefully they are fixing to school up and start their feeding patterns. Hope to be catching a lot more this summer and fall.

Chuck...I caught both Rios on Gulp Alive minnows. Doc was using worms & maggots & caught none. I would have thought the worms would do way better on the Rios, but I guess their patterns are similar to the bluegill.
Thanks Tom for the reply...

That is a surprise Steve. I would figure the worms would have caught more. Maybe the Rios are feeding on the minnows since that is a natural food for them. Anyway good seeing some Rios being posted.
