I needed a walk and wanted to fish in spite of the heat, so I went walking on the San Antonio river after work yesterday and tried to catch some fish. I ended up with two bites on my lure that didn't get hooked and that was about it. I also fished power worms for a while but got no bites though the hook was probably too big. I did see several fish including rios, small bass, sunfish or small rios, carp and what I think were catfish. They looked kind of like those redfish they have in Braunig and Calaveras lake, but I don't think those are in the river? Anyways the fish were lazy but I would see some eat bugs on the surface from time to time and heard a few big splashes which I am sure were carp. I fly fisherman would probably catch a few. No pics today sorry.
