While fishing for stripers with a spoon I hooked into something huge and this came up from the depths. I was for sure I had a big cat. The scale I had only went to 30 so that didn’t work. Yep. Looks to be a smallmouth buff. Looks to be easily over 40 pounds, possibly even over 50. State record is over 80. Well done, Great catch.
