What are you guys using for your 4 stroke? Synthetic Blend or regular 25W-40? Going to do my 100 hour change myself.

I’d use what mercury tells you to use
If you have a warranty issue they’ll look at oil first and if it’s not theirs they’ll blame it first.

My 200 V-8 takes 7 qts of 10W30 , I use Lucas marine synthetic FCW rated

I would imagine the 250 is the same but under the cowl there is a cover on the back it tells you the viscosity and volume.

I do have a shop manual for one if you ever need to see any thing from it.

Oh and also, it takes longer to dispose of the oil than to do the oil change.


Crazy easy.
