I’d like to hear more about those bluebonnet seeds, I have a lot of them but many are spread out over my place, can I do something to spread them [Linked Image]

with my existing plants?

I just pulled the seed pods right before they opened up. I threw them in a bucket to finish drying. Once they dried some I put on a pair of gloves and just started breaking them open. Not an easy process but I wanted to give my daughter and my brother some seeds. My brother just bought a place west of Burnet and he has no bluebonnets. Once you get them started they spread pretty quick. Each plant produces lots of seeds. I started with a few plants 15 years ago and pic is from this spring. Strange thing is they have moved uphill. The city of Fate decided several times last fall to waste water and flood my ditch. I think that moved some seed towards the street.

I started a blackberry infused bourbon experiment. Won't have any news on it for a week. Mojo update forthcoming?

Thanks stump jumper!
I still have a lot of them out in the field, I’ll go out tomorrow and see if I can still get some seeds from them.

They will spread my mowing them once the seed pods are ready as well. Has always worked in my pasture anyway.

That’s what I had heard Steve, I just wanted to expedite the spreading if that would help.
All of mine are where we bale hay from so a cutting is coming soon.
And this year we had more than previous so I bet that is why, we have had this land going on the 4th year and the previous owner wasn’t doing the hay thing regularly .

You mentioned something about crapping your pants. It was May 16 2021 and we all got a nice stomach bug. Head in toilet and glad I had underwear on or I would have had a Jackson Pollack on the wall.

Tiger Shark off the Keys in early May. Was fishing the Shrimp boats, lots of sharks eating our Tuna and Bonita, so decided to catch one. Beautiful animal to see in person.
