I have a benefit tournament coming up in a week down on Choke, never been on it and I know it's low with a lot of hazards. Anyone willing to give me some general advice on navigating, what areas are safe to run and where you shouldnt etc.Hearing the fishing has been pretty good so looking forward to it, we will only have 1 day to practice so any help on navigating would be appreciated. If someone knows of trails available for purchase let me know. Thanks.

Not low anymore, just head on down to the dam; because that’s the only place that’s holding any fish. Contrary to what you hear, the fishing is not good (yes it was good a few months ago, not now) and 3/4 of the lake is like chocolate milk right now.

Agree, was there late last week and fishing was not good and the water looks like chocolate over most of the lake.

If he gets to the dam about 4:30am, I think he can have first crack at the juice spot! But guys will be on top of him by 7 and then they’ll commence to crossing lines and yelling at each other. But man O’ man, it’s “ON FIRE”!!! banana 1 spot on the entire lake that holds the fish, “ON FIRE”!!!

I guess we could tell him where “the guide” fishes, but it’s chocolate milk now.

[Linked Image] Pretty well everything in this map picture is safe to run except close to banks in four fingers. Fishing must have slowed down in the hammer hole though. I was crappie fishing out there Sunday and there were never more than a few boats at the damn each time I went by.

Lee, did you do any good with the crappies? Looks like it’s been slow from the pics I’ve seen on FB, I can’t figure out why the rising water has the fish so screwed up.

We caught enough for a few meals but it was tough. Very few spots had any fish. Water looks better than last week though.

Any links to the “benefit” tournament? I might as well donate a few dollars to the cause...what do you think Minner Bucket, should we donate to the clause? roflmao
