Gas or electric?
What brand(s)?
Most lakes I fish are electric only, but a few are long and take forever to go from end to end using just a trolling motor. Bad news when I hear thunder!

look into the propane engine from Tohatsu.
i trained on them over there last year... they are a really neat little engine. and they use the propane
tank for your BBQ grill.

I have the Tohatsu propane 5hp. Really like it!
