Went out yesterday with sister Dee. We put on rain suits so we could fish with patches of light rain coming through. We found fish at two spots - Saint Annes Point West and Staubach Hump. From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm we caught 104: 94 whites, 5 hybrids, 3 cats, and 2 keeper yellow bass. We caught most on Mepps #4 spinners. About halfway through I started fishing with a 2/3 oz silver Little Cleo spoon and did as well as the Mepps. Some pics:

Yours truly with good white on a silver Little Cleo spoon worked like a Mepps.

Hi there im new to the forum but i saw you yesterday when i was out fishing. I live in crossroads and love to fish for sandbass at cedar creek lake. Went back today and did pretty good at Dam Ridge. 30 keeper whites' 20" hybrid and 22" hybrid. Thank you for all the info you have put on here. It has helped me a bunch.

Welcome to the forum, Ryan. Thanks for posting, and you're welcome. As a retired person who gets to fish several times a week, it is my pleasure to provide info to help fellow fishermen who don't get to fish as much as I do. Dennis

Thursday, June 3: Friends Cliff and Gordon went out with me from 2 to 7:30 PM, and we had an amazing trip. We caught a total of 211: 170 white bass 90% big fish, 13 cats, and 28 hybrids to 25 inches. It's the most legal hybrids I've caught in a single trip. We had two at 25 inches, one at 24.5 inches, a bunch at 23 inches to 20 inches, and one at 19 inches. All fish were caught down on the bottom on a main-lake hump on the east side of the lake between Crappie Island and Spillway Hump. We used several baits including Mepps #4 and #5 silver, Mepps #4 gold, Mepps #4 clone and #5 clone, 2/3 oz silver Little Cleo, and the MAL Mepps. We were fishing in water 23 to 26 ft deep. We caught most casting out and working back along the bottom, but also a bunch fishing straight down. Here are some pics:

Caught these this week. The red was on a #4 silver Mepps. The sheepshead were on a jig and soft plastic. I hooked a bull red on a 3/4 oz Little Cleo. It took off, surfaced, then ran underwater crab trap and pulled off. Also caught 5 specs and 1st one was on a Mepps #4 silver. Also caught 3 gaftop on Mepps. Friends Cliff and Bruce caught several good specs, sheepshead, and gaftop. Cliff caught a very nice flounder. Obviously we were not fishing on Cedar Creek Lake. Here are some pics:
