With all the rain down along the border I will bet the Rio Grande is flowing pretty fast-at least temporarily this will probably slow the flow of people passing over. Big time rains again falling over large portion of the watershed.

We need it big time for both lakes.

It’s amazing how little rain in Texas makes it’s way to the Rio.

I always liked Russ Martin's idea of stocking it with piranhas.
We can make it a game. If you can make it across 3 times, we'll let you stay.

Most areas below Del Rio and Zapata are flowing up to about 2000 cfs but above Del Rio is still only 500. It’s probably not enough to deter most crossing.

We haven't received much rainfall here in DR in the last week although chances have been high we get missed most of the time. Eagle Pass and Below Laredo received some good rain. Lake has come up a little approx. 10in not ft like Falcon. Both lakes need a TS or hurricane to fill them.

Falcon gained 3’ in May. We haven’t released significant water all month so what came in has stayed.

Bring it on Mother Nature!

The future forecast looks good for Falcon and Choke to catch some more water.

Need rain big time on the Mexican side of the Big Bend. More rain in Val Verde and Terrell counties would help as well as larger amounts in the Pecos river watershed up north. Amistad is in some of the worst shape I've ever seen it.

IMO and the folks along the border can correct me or confirm it, both Amistad and Falcon will only stay full for a short time. If any substantial water is put in the lake, the farmers will require more water for their crops and the lakes will start falling.
Get used to them both being low most of the time. Its just the way it is.
