At 176 if it's really flowing over it'll most likely wash out Letney Rd and hwy 255 before it reaches the Angelina river. If that happens, it's a longgg way to jasper from west of the wash out. Parts of 63 are already closed due to a recent washout.

As far as fishing, it's really good right now. You can catch 50+ on one spot if you find em.

Cassels-Boykin Park
Jackson Hill Park
Powell Park
McAlister Park (Ayish Bayou)

It is rumored that they opened Public Boat Ramp (Umphrey Pavilion) back up but I'm not sure if they were joking as you can't always trust the sources on FB. sarcastic

It still shows the public is closed on the core website. Thanks for the list. I heard a rumor powell had closed this week but I will call if we head up there.

During the last high water, you could launch at Jackson Hill no problem, Powell Park was a little weird but worked too. That was all I needed and used. Traveling under the 147 bridge was weird too, but hey take it slow.

We launched at powell last time but I remember hearing that it was close to being closed. Not sure if that was the case or rumor though. I won't be around the bridge, I don't normally fish that side of the lake. Our camp is right outside San Augustine Park so that's the side I always fish. It's definitely not as consistent as the main river side but it has its days sometimes
