I focus all my time normally on Bridgeport and PK and have never bass fished at EM which is closer than the other two lol. How’s the lake? Any tips?
Thanks

I lived out there for about 3 years and fished the lake regularly. I personally feel the whites have overtaken the lake and the bass population is low due to that. I've seen good fish weighed in at tournaments - but very few limits. Lake is mostly rocks and docks - so I'd say whatever your throw at BP and PK would be about the same pattern at EM. But it never was consistent for me...could never find fish in the same areas even when fishing back to back days. I'm told there are brush piles people have placed around the lake that is where the big ones come off of, but I've never been able to locate any really. The Carter arms are where the highest (but not "high") concentration of large mouth are in my opinion - but those are community spots everyone knows about already.

That's all I've got for you, sorry. I'm sure there is someone that will chime in with some better advice.

I had a center console boat 2010-2014 before I was a bass guy and would destroy the sandies out there. So I could see that.
I appreciate the info.

We live a block off Eagle Mountain Lake and my son and I fished it hard and often for black bass last year. We would catch 1-3 black bass about half the trips but came home empty handed too many times. I caught a few 4-5 pounders. We had better results fishing for white bass and catfish. We recently caught a good number of Bluegill in a short time.

It seems like early mornings in the summer were best for catching black bass last year.

We have not caught any good black bass this year yet. We are trying different lures, techniques and places for black bass but may spend more time on white bass, catfish and bluegill this year for more action. Other fisherman I've talked to on the lake this year haven't done well catching black bass either.

Thanks for the help. My buddy went out there this morning and sent me this text:

“Did you go to Eagle Mountain this weekend? Devin and I went this morning and spent 2 hours there before we got rained out. That’s the last 2 hours I’ll ever spend on it! Did not see one thing I liked about it. I caught one sandbass and that’s the only bite we got!”

Lmao

I know it’s not that bad. He didn’t even have time to see the lake this morning.

I caught a 3.5lb black bass Tuesday evening on a rocky shoreline at twin points with a spinnerbait. I hooked another good bass on a spinnerbait further down, but the knot broke at the lure and I lost it. Later in the evening, I had a good bass attack my frog in a shallow area but didn't get hooked.

I was glad to have better results.

Ramps are expensive but with the lake up shady grove is alright. Just have to climb over the rail to get in the boat at the dock.

Caught a few black bass on the south East end of the lake, but it would be my last choice in options to catch black bass. A couple years ago the sandbass were schooling hard all summer long so I spent a bunch of time wearing out sand bass.
