We love our boats, but sometimes it's a challenge to mount the trolling motor. Traditional quick release pucks need to be mounted very close to the rub rail or the shaft won't clear the end of the boat. The engineers at ShuttleSlide designed the BMAP-RE reach extension plate to help those customers who can't secure bolts close to the edge of the boat. This adapter plate allows you to move our UHD mount further back on the deck and secure the first set of bolts up to 10.5" inboard from the rub rail! It certainly helps make the mounting process easier AND you still have the benefit of retracting your trolling motor inboard, to keep it safe. The BMAP-RE also has the bolt pattern for your quick release bracket (RTA-17 or RTA-54 models), so you can still use that system if you wish.
