Hey y'all!
I am thinking of going up to Lake Conroe to fish over Memorial Day weekend - any recommendations on where to fish for Bass? How is Park Lake Conroe (by the ramps)? We do not have a boat/kayak and do not intend on renting one.
Anything helps! Thanks!

Take a tube and float away from the bank a bit to get close to nearshore timber. Advice: Take an extra tube to float your rods and tackle. If you catch a fish and in the process of reeling him in the dorsal fin of the fish pokes a hole in the tube you're sitting in and the tube starts to leak air; then you can float your tackle out of the water while you swim it back to the bank. Um, ya, TV. I seen this on TV one time. That's how I know

Go to Cagle Recreation Area on FM 1375 out of New Waverly. $5 entry fee per car. Wade fish the cove on the South side of the parking lot. There is a trail through the woods and picnic tables.
