OK...Fishin in the rain...Left the house at 5 am & it poured all the way to the lake...Fished with friend Lloyd today & it rained off and on until we left around 3 pm. We pulled the boat out just as they were issuing a flash flood warning...man it was raining hard. Everything soaked...but enough complaining...we did manage 6 bass & 204 Sunfish today...all caught on various color Gulp Alive minnows. Gils are becoming active in more and more spots. Did not see TomRom on the lake today...guess he decided to sleep in.... [Linked Image]

Yep Steve. I got up at 4:30 and looked at the radar. It looked like there was going to be some real toad stranglers according to the radar and I guess they were right. Apparently Fayette got hammered more than here in Katy. But it got hammered here as well. Im going this week but now with other commitments it will have to be Thursday. Im sure the lake will be a zoo this weekend.

Great pics and nice fish count. I have been playing with gulp alive minnows more and more with good results. Still always take a box of live worms just in case.

Big Joe...I weened myself off of the worms slowly as well...probably haven't used them in over a year now except when Doc occasionally makes me grin

I went today. Bass were really up in the reeds so I only gave them a couple of hours of my time. After putting away the bass gear I went and found some bluegill that were a lot easier to make to hit. Caught the [censored] out of them. It did not seem what I threw at them they hit it. Bite lasted for hours. If you go the docks are roped off because the are only a inch or two above the water.
