I'm looking at purchasing an H20B but can't decide on the Yamaha 115 SHO or the 150 SHO. I plan on fishing around Corpus Christi and Baffin Bay. I also plan on bass fishing Choke Canyon with it. I'm not looking for crazy top speeds, just a good hole shot and cruise.

Is upgrading to the 150 worth the $6000 increase? This is a boat I plan on keeping for a long time.

Best bet is to take a ride in one with a 115 and see what you think of the performance.

FYI I have never been happy in the long run with a boat that had a motor under or at least within 10hp of the max rating for the boat.....

I've sold thousands of boats. All manners.
NOT ONCE
Has anyone complained about putting the rated motor on their sled.
EVERYBODY

If you plan to keep it for a long time, spend the extra $$ and get the 150 hp. It will also help if you ever sell it!
