Prepare to take a beating if you are going this weekend! I have not been much this year, so I am no help. I may go Friday, but will be gone by noon.
Good luck.

What color plastics do you throw? Texas Rig or Wacky Worm? Just trying to help a friend with tackle fishing Thousand Trails area.

Surprised at Watermelon Red (that is my clear water color); Green Pumpkin is always a great color. Livingston Bass seem to love June Bug or Black/Blue or Black/Red. Did you catch any yesterday?

I was only there a couple of hours, spent part of it visiting with some friends on the lake. I throw WM Red on sunny days, they like it! As to fishing I was throwing something different to see if I could get bit, only bite was a catfish! I did not fish a brush hog or trick worm this trip. My plan is to work on different techniques every time I go. I suck on Conroe to be honest!! But occasionally I get into a few.

Conroe will test your patience. For me, I like blue w/black, pumpkin, and june bug. For all soft plastics. Lately, I've been throwing a soft jerk bait but have not had any luck.
