Everywhere in town is out of ethanol free!!

I need fuel tomorrow. What do y’all think of 5 gallons or so of ethanol gas with mercury additives (which I use anyways). Regular, mid, or super?

Regular is recommended, not really that big of issue. Put gas in it and go fishing.

No its not. If your running a newer 4 stoke I wouldn't sweat putting E-10 gas in it, now for the older 2 stokes I won't let them touch ethanol fuel

I agree with Bradnitro175. If you burn it off real soon it shouldn't be a problem. It's not so much the ethanol that does damage but ethanol + time sitting in the tank and fuel system.

So much mis-information and old wives tales in this post.

I haven't used ethanol free since they mandated E-10. I've never had a problem... I always follow Mercury's recommendation of Quickare and Quickleen with each fill up... Ethanol free is just a money make for the gas station... Dan

just had to replace powerhead on 250 HPDI. have ALWAYS RUN RINGFREE, STABIL 360.Needless to say it's been an expensive adventure, leaving me paranoid. Now I drive 20 miles for ethanol free gas
hoping it will help avoid repeat. One more of these will probably put me on the bank with cane pole and bobber. By the way thought about repowering with 4 stroke but none available.

I run 89 ethanol in my 2014 250 SHO with Yamalube and have zero issues.
