I don't know what chip everybody uses but I bought a southwest navionics chip for around $150 and if I had it to do over I'd save my money. I was in 24 feet of water yesterday and the chart said 6 feet. I see road beds and bridges and culverts marked that simply aren't there. Now, given the age of Lavon, some of those features may have been covered in silt over the years so that doesn't bother me too much, but the depth contours being off by 20 feet is an issue.
I have a Lowrance Elite 7ti. The 2D sonar is good but the chart isn't much help. Any suggestions for an upgrade?
