Trying to book a private cabin/lodge/resort/ranch to spend 2-3 days with Wifey fishing for LM bass, preferably within a 4-5 hour drive from Houston.

I don't have a boat, so bank fishing needs to be great, or the location should have boat rentals.

With the googling I've done so far, it feels like I should be posting this in the hunting forums as most locations seem to specialize in private hunts and have a lake/pond on the property to fish.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Grosse Savanne Lodge is very nice. I have been there a number of times. Not the cheapest place.

There are a lot of high fence hunting ranches that have awesome ponds/lakes as well that they allow hunting clients to book. They may allow you to book their lodging and charge a fee to fish during the hunting offseason.
