Hi all. I’m sure it’s been talked about on here, but I have my LS transducer mounted on a pole with the 8 degree offset bracket. Do you recommend that I get a 0 degree or is it not a big deal? I struggle a little bit with seeing my jig when casting, but that could be the settings. Thanks for any input!

0 degree isn't a big deal when mounted to a stand-a-lone pole.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure if it was adversely affecting the ability to get a good view.

Really? That’s an interesting idea. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!

A lot of crappie guru's will tie on mono leader due to the braid strength. Mono will break where the braid will pull up the pile.

Gborg mentioned that too. I never knew that. My jig rod has 4 lbs. mono so that might be the issue. I have braid on a few other rods that I’m going to try. Thanks for the reply.

I don't worry about seeing my line, just my jig

I’d be OK with just seeing my jig too, but it seems like I only see it 25% of the time.

Fishing depths over 20 foot the 0 degree will make a huge difference. In the winter when I am in 40+Ft it is a must have. I think (correct me, haven’t done the math in a while) at 40 foot of depth your bait will be 27 inches away from true zero.

Makes sense, Cameron. Thanks.

Agree with Cameron, 0 degree mount on a separate pole makes a big difference and is highly recommended.

You must have some settings off as you should be seeing it better than that.
