I noticed John Cox and Keith Combs both decided to fish the Elites this week and skip the BPT event. I’m a little surprised Cox isn’t fishing the BPT on the Harris chain since he’s from Florida. I’m starting to think some of these guys might not like the 6 day format with 2 days off.
Side note: I noticed a new angler, Kyle Hall from Granbury is fishing the BPT this week. He looks like he’s 16 years old. Anyone heard of him?

I do not think Combs fishes BPT. He won a Toyota Series not a TW Pro Circuit event.

I do not think Combs fishes BPT. He won a Toyota Series not a TW Pro Circuit event. He does not. I hope Cox weighs a big bag tomorrow and stays.

Did the bpt start today? I guess Cox could take a zero for one day and fly there if he misses the cut and hope to catch enough the second day

I’ve got my wires crossed again. I could have swore Combs fished the BPT last year, guess not. Looks like Cox can still make it to Florida if he misses the cut, he’s in group B so he would start Saturday. Looking forward to watching both tours tomorrow.

I believe the Harris Chain is Cox home body of water. No matter what, he'll get at least 1 day (Monday) on the BPT. If he makes the weekend cut on the Elites, he'll have a tough decision to make.
He's currently 29th in AOY on the Elites as well on the BPT. Well within the championship cut for both.

looks like he has enough weight to make the cut and fish saturday at guntersville with BASS if he chooses....be interesting to see what choice he makes....

looks like he has enough weight to make the cut and fish saturday at guntersville with BASS if he chooses....be interesting to see what choice he makes.... He's in 33rd. I bet he takes his $10,000 and heads to florida. He will give up 15 points towards the Classic if he leaves early. Hope that doesn't bite him.
