I purchased one last year and really enjoyed cooking on it. After about 9 months of cooking the cook top started rusting so bad that I could not clean it enough to feel good about cooking on it anymore. I kept it greased up but it still rusted like crazy. Has anyone bought a brand that the top would not rust over time?

Stainless is the way to go IMO unless you are ocd about seasoning, keeping it dry and clean. In about another year or 2 there will be so many blackstones on Craigslist and fb marketplace with rusting issues you can get a heck of a deal.

Mine gets surface rust, I smear oil on it and cook. No problem.

I've had the Blackstone a while now and love it. You have to keep out of the weather and keep it seasoned.
