I have never been on Lake Tawakoni, can anyone tell me areas a boat can run on pad and areas you shouldn't? Also any hazards to lookout for? Thank you

The middle of the lake has huge stands of timber and the points extend. It is easy to learn the running pattern of the lake - cross at the bridge and the dam. I recently acquired the chip, and can confirm it will reduce the learning curve of the mid-lale crossing as well as the threading of the needle on the Northeast Shore between sky point and the dam.
Fishing - look closely at the willows and pads.

Just remember on Tawakoni the trees are old Bois D'Arc trees and are harder than concrete and there are many pieces of old concrete that will also do a number on your lower unit. Many of these obstacles are just below the surface in areas that look safe at some lake level. Also as was mentioned, there are places where a point comes way out into the lake and you can get skinny quick.

Search Tom Mayne’s boat lane chip for Tawakoni , it’s money well spent. I’ve been using it since it was released and it’s spot on!

Last time I was there the water was a bit low. The area above that brown square has plenty of trees/stumps . My SIL used to live in that area near that square and we used to run trot lines from tree to tree. The locals has their lines strung out there too...and the are not marked.
