Ozark Trail line that Wally World selll. I tried out some and I going to tell the truth about it. Save your money its not very good. I got it for a rod that I use for
white bass and I spent more time fighting the line than the fish.

Never used their line but have used some of their lures. Honestly they surprised me. I expected the jerkbaits and lipless cranks to roll to one side or the other but they didnt. They also used to sell a twin pack of frogs. Those things were a steal of a deal at less than $1 each.

Ozark Trail insulated cup beat out both Yeti and RTIC in our test at work. Just slight longer keeping water cool.

I got their cup and some of their baits and love them. Thats why I thought the line would be ok. I been putting line on reels for over 50 years so i know that not the problem. I once tried Academy H2o line and it was not very good either. I use Suffex mono on must of my cranks rods and that some great line.

Maybe it was already twisted on the line spool, possibility I guess.

Dont feel bad. i paint cranks and was told that the Ozark Trail lipless is a pretty good bait to fish, and cheap to buy and repaint.

im picky with fishing line though....it seems like they are the most delicate part of your tackle that can ruin a day with ease LOL

Cast it, reel it, jerk it.

The H2O crankbaits are very good. Never tried Ozark Trail lures but I am sure some are fine. Esp like topwater bait.

Their Yeti type cups are excellent. I have a few of them and they rock.

As a few have mentioned, line one place I would never skimp or get an off brand. There is a big difference. Stren is my stuff and its very good for mono. For braid I like power pro. Thats it.

I see those big bulk spools of like Eagle Claw line and I can already mentally picture the twists, break offs due to inconsistent size of the line, handling issues etc. just by looking at that giant discount spool.

You must have bought the 3/8oz models. LOL! I know because I have probably put a dozen of those in the water using 10 pound line and not a dang one of them will spin. The 1/4oz on the other hand have all been good to go for me.

I now own buckets of the 3/8oz models though. You might wonder why I would buy so many of a lure that dont even work but its because its the basis for some customs I build. I literally take them out of the package and cut them up and start from scratch. At $.96 each it is cheaper to buy the complete bait and rebuild it the way it should have been to begin with rather than try to purchase all the parts individualy. There are two very special features of that inline that make some of the best customs that I have ever tried.
