Someone probably threw it away if it's like mine. The battery compartment is poorly designed so you have to give the remote the "minn kota slap" before it will work.

It turned on, just says can't locate trolling motor.

mine says that too,...and the motor is about 5 feet away,.... Modern science at its finest ! Always something to tweek , sure beats the flashers and manual trollers of old !
