I am going to pull the trigger on Yoder or RecTec today or tomorrow. I can get the Rectec today or put a deposit down on the Yoder and wait 4 Months.

Get the Yoder, I doubt there is a better pellet grill out there, now I did not say that there was not one as good, I said better, now my butt should be covered.

Recteq for them beat. They are the Cadillac

I have built and used numerous smokers/grills and have always enjoyed cooking and had good results. I got a Traeger 9 years ago and sold my other smokers. It’s not a good as open fire to grill with but sure is EASY and works great for smoking. I cook more since I bought the Traeger due to I don’t have to spend so much time messing with the fire etc. Food comes out really good as well.

Pitts and Spits for the win. I have a couple. Hand welded in Houston. I hung a Savannah Stoker controller on on and it rocks.

We haven't had a good boiled meat thread lately, sounds disgusting, like grizzeled neck meat

In that I rarely have any surplus money my pellet smoker choice as it relates to MVPR (Maximum Value To Price Ratio) when I can afford it will
be the Pit Boss Pro 1150 model, I believe the feature set of that model at the $599 price point is spot on for me.

The placement of the searing grate control, the method of cleaning out the firepot, size of the hopper ect should be all I need.

In that I have multiple wireless thermometer's I really will not rely on the wifi function, I will check it out but I am used to my wireless
4 probe 500' range for monitoring

I'm a tech guy but I don't get the wifi thing either. The rock steady temps make timing brisket and pork butt very predictable.

What’s not to get. I can run my smoker from the comfort of my bed. I prep it the night before, wake up at 4am, turn the smoker on with my phone via wifi, take the brisket out and go back to bed for an hour. Wake up at 5am again, rub my
Brisket down, put on smoker, and forget about it and go fishing til internal temp hits 205. Sometimes if I don’t go fishing I will check my phone to see if brisket hit 160 and I’ll go check the color of the bark so I can wrap. I can raise or lower temp with a finger. It’s greatness

I don't know about all that, maybe it will work on the wife's phone so she can get up and get things going
